The AHFE 2024 Conference will be held July 24-27, 2024 at the Université Côte d'Azur, Nice, France.

The scientific program and technical sessions, subject to change! Half-Day tutorials at introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels, covering the entire spectrum of the conference. Tutorial will be offered Monday-Tuesday July 22-23, 2024. Technical Sessions will be held Wednesday - Saturday July 24-27, 2024. Registered participants are encouraged to attend all conference days.

Director and Lead Investigator, Human Factors & Cognitive Engineering Lab


Speaker Bio: Dr. Dias, MD, PhD, MBA is a physician-scientist and his research focuses on the application of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital biomarkers and extended reality to measure and enhance clinicians' performance and improve patient safety in a variety of fields, including emergency medicine, critical care, surgery, space medicine and military. Dr. Dias research is funded by the NIH, DoD, NASA, NSF and AHRQ. He was trained in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine at the University of Sao Paulo Medical School, in Brazil and earned a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences and an M.B.A in Hospital and Health Systems Administration. He completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Harvard Medical School in Human Factors and Medical Simulation. Currently, He is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School and the Director of Research and Innovation at the STRATUS Center for Medical Simulation | Mass General Brigham (MGB), in Boston, MA, where he lead the Human Factors and Cognitive Engineering Lab.
